I've built a drum kit using my own multi-sampled sounds. I did this by creating sampler instruments of each drum which I then dropped in to a drum rack and then further tweaked.
My question is, how do I now send this kit to my writing partner so he can load the same kit into any Ableton project. I ...

Re: How to trigger multi-velocity drum samples in drum rack
ok I'm sat here with a snare sample loaded into sampler trying desperately to find these tabs you mentioned. The only reference to velocity is in the MIDI tab but I have no clue what to do in there. Could you give me a hint?

Re: How to trigger multi-velocity drum samples in drum rack
Thanks JuanSOLO,
I'll have a look at sampler. I wonder if I can drag a sampler patch on to a drum rack pad.
Does anybody else have some experience with this?
Cheers

How to trigger multi-velocity drum samples in drum rack
Hi,
I am able to load my own drum kit samples on to drum rack pads but I have no clue how to get one pad to trigger several samples
based on the velocity. For example if i hit a pad (or key on my midi keyboard) at max velocity (127) i'd like the drum rack pad to trigger snare_hard.wav
But if I hit ...

Re: How to fine tune the pitch of audio tracks
Silly me. I always thought that control said Oct - meaning it would pitch the audio up or down in octaves.
Thanks a lot Anthony.

How to fine tune the pitch of audio tracks
I'm working with some audio that is not quite at concert pitch and I need to alter the pitch slightly
to fit the A440 of my virtual instruments.
I can see that in ABleton I am able to pitch shift an audio track by semi-tones but how do I fine tune it?
These audio files are about half of a semi-tone ...

Thanks emef,
I think I understand what your saying but it would be easier to see it in the flesh.
Would it be possible for you to send me a file with an example kit?
I know this is a lot to ask so don't worry about telling me to get lost.
Cheers

Whats the best way to build and save drum kits?
I like Impulse and the drum rack but they are a little bit limited.
For example I'd like to be able to add FX and processing to each individual part of the drum kit.
I figured a way to do this by loading up multiple instances of Impulse and splitting the midi
info on to separate tracks but this ...

How do I create a pitch bend on an audio track using a midi
Hi,
I'm trying to apply a pitch bend to a drum fill in a techno track. You've heard it before
on 808 drum fills where the pitch of the snare drops as the fill plays out.
I can do this easily in Live 8 just by playing with the transpose knob on the audio track
with WARP switched on. Sounds pretty ...

Hi M. Bréqs,
Not sure if this works the same way in Live 8 but if its does I would really appreciate getting
a copy of the .adg file to save me some time. Please email to mac_hater @ hotmail.co.uk
Cheers

No Midi Input - Was working - Now gone
Mamaged to fix this problem myself by switching my brain on and hitting the "Arm" button on the midi track.
Told you I was a newbie ;)

I'm a newbie to Ableton so I suspect I've sloppily hit some key that has killed all midi input.
