Re: L12 multiband compressor
Thanks, I like that upgrade. So, to be clear, the Above and Below share the same setting? In other words, you are saying that they are linked.

Re: Track Delay
Thanks, I am aware of delay compensation. Not certain if the delay shown by the plugin is before or after compensation.

Track Delay
Hi all, was just pondering, what do you do when a plugin is causing a track delay?
I mean, how is it resolved?
I am aware that track delay can be used creatively to get groove, but should this be rectified first?

Any Reggae Lyricists?
I have some great tracks, but would welcome a lyricist/ vocalist for colab. I have a theme for the lyrics, but just not getting around to finish them.

Re: Are we visualizing sound when manipulating it?
Well are we? Or or we just looking at graphics and pushing faders and knobs? If not, how is it done? When I make an eq curve, I am not able to visualize in reality what is being done to the sound wave. A sculptor can look at the wood and actually see what is being done to the physical medium. Is an...

I mainly use Subtractor in Reason for my bass tracks.
Lots of bass instruments in Live. You could check in Operator also.

Re: Please excuse my ignorance (New to Abelton)
Aha :D Long long ago, you would get a lot of replies to RTFM. You should also spend some of your free time my friend just looking at some of the earlier posts. Say from about year 2010 or even earlier. You could also do searches for your queries. Would be surprised to see how much quicker you will g...

Re: Are we visualizing sound when manipulating it?
Well said. These are the type of posts that used to have me glued to the forum in the earlier years. I notice that most of the younger/newer posters here seem not to take the time to bother to read the manual. I miss the constant admonitions to " RTFM". But now we have moderators and thing...

Re: Are we visualizing sound when manipulating it?
You are indeed correct . Thanks for the refresher. So basically a sine is the only pure wave. Bet there are lots of other loggerheads here that never knew that. :D Well, I guess that ends that argument. What about the the topic of this post though, anymore learned instructions or ideas? Or does it n...

Re: Are we visualizing sound when manipulating it?
I believe that a a 1k is a 1k no matter the waveform. Without any added harmonics or anything else that would affect the timbre. My thoughts. I think you're mixing things up a bit, or maybe over-thinking something that doesn't really offer anything to overthink: a single 1k harmonic/fundamental is ...

Re: Are we visualizing sound when manipulating it?
So why do we have to correlate anyway. Probably we need to take a look at the box. I mean, why can't the graphics give us a closer relationship to what the sound is actually doing. Why are we looking at some lines on a xy axis when reducing a frequency for example? I know a few DAWs try to improve o...
