MP3s don't import properly
I've check and can't see if it's been mentioned elsewhere but everytime I try to drag an mp3 file in it appears than the file is just over a minute long (the lengths for each file vary by about +/-8seconds). I've tried it with several and it's the same for each.

Clubbing T Shirts
Having always been a fan of clubbing related t shirts, but sometimes struggling to find suitable ones, I have decided to start designing my own. You can view the t shirts at the link below, and I'll be adding many more designs constantly :) http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs190.snc4/3784...

Re: Notation in Live 9?
I would hate to see Live go that way. Traditional music notation is not rich enough for electronically produced music. If you are writing musical parts for band members then Live is not really the right tool IMO. The combination of piano roll and clip envelopes is a better form of "notation&qu...

Re: Best tutorials EVER!
Just checked out a couple and am very impressed...thanks Mr Bill. Will be watching through these with great interest and have already managed to learn some things I'd never come across in Live before. As for the delivery of the tutorials, I found the pace fine. And to the guy who mentioned your voic...

The same as you open any plug in within Live. Double click it or drag it onto a channel

Re: Buying an APC40 from America (UK based)
Don't bother, if it fails u have no warranty plus u will have to fork out for a step down transformer of the appropriate power (get it wrong and u blow your unit) Actually the APC is dual voltage, so no transformer is required. This was a feature for DJs travelling abroad. However I do completely a...

Re: Ableton Live not ready for prime time
I think an ample definition for cunt would be someone who downloads warez and has the fuck all happening enough to go on a forum and complain about it. Epic fail you douchebag. Well said. Complaining about the stability of a program you downloaded a crack of is so hilarious, I can't believe there w...

Re: Buying an APC40 from America (UK based)
how much are we talking here? roughly.... the cost of the unit is £180 and £40 shipping (approx) It's going to total up to about £280...then keep in mind that if anything goes wrong with it you are going to have the hassle (and cost) of shipping it to the States and back. A much better option is to...

Re: FM8 or Operator
I haven't used FM8 but did use FM7 a few times and never managed to find my way around it. With Operator, I find it relatively easy to understand and get decent sounds out of it, rather than simply turning knobs and hoping for the best.

Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
PSU isn't really an issue as it still means taking up only 1 USB port with the APC.

Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
To be honest, the fact that the APC is just one single unit is a factor for me. I don't wanna be transporting and setting up 2 or 3 different pieces of kit every night.

Re: APC20 vs Launchpad
Not a massive saving, but those in the UK can get the APC40 a bit cheaper if you buy it from Thomman. http://www.thomann.de/gb/akai_apc_40.htm Make sure you ask for a UK PSU though, otherwise they might send you an EU one ;) Noticed this earlier, and have had nothing but good experiences with Thoma...
