Re: The Schwarzonator is stupid
Wow, lots of hate here. If it makes music more accessible to a beginner im all for it. I have some friends who play waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than I do. Im alright, nothing spectacular as I don't play with people very often but I'd like to do it more. Work, job, kids, take up lots of time ...

Re: NEW Novation Nocturn mapping for Live 8
this is a really great script I love it... only its set for channels 1-4 and my Launchpad sends off channels 1-2. I don't know how to change eithers respective channel, and its causing some interference. Any thoughts?

Re: Tutorial: Warping and splitting tracks for DJing
great tutorial, I also arrange things in a Cosm-y way. I wasn't sure if I could be doing things better, but seeing how you do them helped re-affirm my methods. I did learn a few tips like clicking he length to focus on the waveform, thats awesome! thanks mate!

Re: DJ'ing w/ Live Tempo use
building energy w/ tempo? I hadn't even considered that approach, i just habitually put it at w/e the tracks are. Usually 128-130 but I see what you mean about speeding it up slightly. tnx

DJ'ing w/ Live Tempo use
I've mostly used Live to produce. Lately I've been exploring the DJing side of Live's features and find it fun and challenging. I've never learned to DJ using anything but Live and I'd like to keep it that way. In regards to Tempo, I've seen many Live DJ Sets on the web, youtube etc that make use of...

Multi band Dynamics to have Key input on each Band!
Waveforms to be partially colored.,, ie. To be able to save a different color over choice parts in a waveform be it chorus, breakdown, drum loop or w/e for quick glance identification. possible mappable to keys, or drag-able to session view box!

Re: NEW Novation Nocturn mapping for Live 8
I completely recomend this, even if you dont end up using it I learned a lot about what i do and dont want in my set. Just for that experience alone check it out. I ended up using almost everything in the provided layout as it was very efficient.

M4L question, smart mixing
I'm pretty deep into Live, messing around w/ its various features... I love it. I find Max especially interesting, I'm curious about HOW Deep one c an go with it. For example I've been playing around with the 'Smart Mixing' concept. The included Live compressor works nicely, But I'm getting the Ide ...

Re: djing on live
I'm in the same boat as you kinda. In the sense that I'm not a DJ and I want to learn to rock tracks in Live. I have a M-Audio Profire 610, I adore this thing. It's solid and versatile little thing. Vaery adaptable to Live or Studio setting, around the $500 ish mar, But in my honest opinion worth it...

Re: footswitch for the APC
Thats interesting question, my APC hasn't arrived yet, but I wonder if there are 'device banks' as you put it. that would be very nice for my set up.
