To sync with your song you have to start Live Transport.

In ableton live version 8 (8.0.1 and 8.0.2) Mac version when i drag a sample in the arrangement view and when i drop it pressing Ctrl Button Ableton Live crah .The problem sometimes happens when i copy samples with drag drop feature .
I restart live and the problem disappears .

I use ableton since 5 years ago (version 4).I use a lot of synthetizers(plugins) within ableton live and a LFO assignable to plugin parameters is a MIDI efect that can be very usefull to design great sounds .
