Is anyone using the Fantom G to output audio into Ableton Live? I want to know if it has the same track separation feature as the Mackie Onyx's FireWire option. A very simple, yet important request. I don't have time for shuffling between my many hard drives. Would be nice to at least 2 more file browser icons.

When I use battery or outboard gear with multiple midi inputs or audio outputs, I can't freeze the setting. It seems I either have to run it all though one track, or record each separately to audio first (defeats the my purpose).

When I render a session with frozen external instrument tracks, takes as long as the song takes to play from beginning to end!! Where is the fast rendering feature for frozen tracks?? This forces me to flatten when it is not quite convenient.

What version of Live are you running?

When I export/render a sessin with frozen tracks, Ableten attempts to re-record what has already been frozen. Of course this causes the bounce time to be significantly longer (guess its the length of the entire session) than if I flattened the tracks. :cry: I don't want to flatten every frozen track...

Exactly! The freeze/flatten double loop effect serves the necessary feature of preventing loops from sounding choppy from the end back to the start. I like it the way it is. However this should have nothing to do with exporting loops. I shouldn't have to bear the lengthy process of freezing, flatten...

Defintely. The drag and drop will work perfectly. Even it not to the desktop, at least to the file browser (When I try that now, its saves as an Ableton file rather than a wav, mp3, or aiff. This is frustrating

You're telling me that users of outboard synths don't see this as beneficial? Are there any REAL productivity-driven producers in this community?

Sounds good, but its DSP power better be able to exceed dedicated DSPs in its price range. If so, then yeah man!! However, the Cell processor requires very complex coding, which could present VERY intensive debugging and code-length optimization.
