Re: Question: how is EIC2?

You have all requirements, but my friend I can't find my EIC instruments after the Live 8 upgrade. (same setup as yours) I've heard that's been happening to a lot of people: supposedly they're just mixed in with the regular instrument rack. Does anyone have experience with EIC2 from previous versio...

Re: [OT] Eckhart Tolle

Reading that book is pretty much like reading the back cover of a Celestial Seasonings tea box a couple of hundred times in a row.

Re: [OT] Eckhart Tolle

The metaphysics of presence is utter bs. It's right up there with "The Secret" and crap like that.
It's just another name for narcissism

Agreed. Latency is better inside Logic Pro than in Ableton, where it's only decent. One point to consider is that the Duet is Mac only, whereas other equipment is cross platform

OT: add SCSI hard drive to SUSE 10 system

Hoping a linux person can help me out here. Have an older SCSI hard drive with my midi stuff on it, (Conner hard drive, Buslogic SCSI card) - XP doesn't support the card anymore, and an up to date adaptec card won't recognize the drive. So I tried Linux. In Linus, I can load the buslogic module and ...

I think if they made a movie about the people that made "Funny Games", that would be the creepiest movie ever.

Re: Please help me out of Firewire hell

Hey, i just got a new PC and I thought things would get better on the dropout and glitch front, but it stayed the same. I can't go below 256 samples without having constantly dropouts etc.. With 256 it's ok but stuff like resizing windows in Live with my touchpad cause dropouts which is really unbe...

All you need to do is double-click on one clip to bring up the clip view, then highlight all clips you need to change. (the waveform should be replaced with text explaining which clips are selected) Then you just change the warp mode to complex and all the highlighted clips will change. Just what I...

It sure is. It's also very, very powerful. :D
I gig with mine, and record multitrack.

With an external firewire drive and 2 gigs of RAM, it can do a LOT of tracks
