^ I think compression gets a bad rap due to this "war on loudness" - I just mixed a song for Rave where I used compression ALL over the place. The result was a smooth sounding yet very dynamic song. I think it's all in the usage. Unfortunately, in today's productions, it's overcompressed ...

It's a nice plug in, but the CPU will kill all the joy. 2 instances kills my quad.(depending on presets) Besides that, it's the only plug in that can produce some extra harmonics.
