Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions

Hi there. I'm a complete noob to Max so I'm currently getting read up (which looks like it's gonna take some time). I've managed to get nonome to function with the stretta devices but there is something specific that I'd love to see. More than anything I'd like to be able to control the sequencer gr...

Daft Punk is like Jazz. If you have to ask, you'll never know.

This is probably because the button is a switch meaning that you press it once its sends an "on" (max=127) then you press it again and it will sent an "off" (min=0). Live doesnt like this typically, so you'll want to change this in M-Audio's Enigma. You want to set the MIN and the MAX for the button...

Whoa there calm down there skippy I aint hurt n'body. The reason I ask is because if he is doing this so he can use his RTAS plugins then by all means... but if he's doing this for sound quality then i think he may be wasting his time and efforts. I was hanging out with one of the engineers from M-A...

Why are you even doing this. If your afraid of the quality of live because of its warping this wont help. These samples are still being warped in Live's audio engine, you'll just be passing the signal through rewire which will be further degrading the signal. Live sounds fine how it is.

Also to put it frankly rewire sounds like ass. Is there anywhere I can get a VST wrapper for my genital-thrashing-badger?

The reason the new card worked is because Windows can assign a new IRQ to that card when you install it. IRQ issues are unfortunately very common with Windows. When computers are mass produced they simply pass by a mother computer that ghosts the operating system onto their drives. This means that W...

This may be due to some IRQ issues. This is a problem that only happens in the PC realm way more often than it should. One of the symptoms is that processor intensive devices (FW 410) will intermittantly be detected by the computer. Visit MusicXP.net for PC tuning tips to maybe get around this.
