There are several third party solutions that give video playback in Session View. Videosync and Zwobot are two that come to mind.[jur] wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 2:28 amYou can't run video from Session view. You need to run your video clips from Arrangement.roxxymoxxie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2024 4:16 pmI have no idea how to import and play videos in the session view.

Re: Input recording capped at a frequency in Ableton only
Is Warp switched off for both samples?
It’s impossible to tell anything from your pics because it’s clearly not the same moment/snapshot of the audio/track. One could be singing a sibilant and the other not. That would account for the difference seen in the pics.

Could also be a sample rate mis-match.
Check that Live, your computer, and your audio interface (+ your interface’s control/mixer software, if applicable) are all set to the same sample rate.

Re: Disable APC Mini permanently as control surface
Try this, in Control Surfaces preferences, set the first two fields to None, and leave the last field set to APC Mini.
In other words...
Control Surface = None
Input = None
Output = APC Mini
This stops unwanted re-enabling of Control Surfaces here on my mac when I start Live.

Re: Is There Anything for Me in Ableton 12??
There are a lot of little GUI and workflow improvements that aren’t “headline” features. In the MIDI realm, the new handling of the envelops tab in Clip View is much more comfortable to me, and actually quite a big quality of life improvement. The options for MIDI editing in Clip View are quite exte...

Re: Live 12 - Midi CC 123 not usable.
Yup, there are a few CCs that are verboten for user-assignment in Live. No, I don’t know why sorry, but that’s the way it is.
You’ll just have to program your controller to send another CC.

Re: [Video]Ableton12 devoured CPU as Mac microphone usage icon flashing
Forgive me if I’m wrong, I think this is to do with a setting in Mac System Settings Audio for background noise isolation, or voice isolation. Turning this off fixes it apparently. Sorry for the vague answer, still on Monterey here, I saw a post where someone had a similar problem. Hope this is some...

Re: setup every new midi track with an eq eight?
Create a new MIDI track. Drop an EQ8 on it. Right-click the track header (where the track name is) and select Save as Default MIDI Track from the menu. Now all new MIDI tracks will open like this. Individual plugins and instruments can also be saved as the default by right-clicking their headers in ...

It's there, it's just now selected in a tab, at the top and center of the clip waveform/MIDI note view.

Re: Looking for a bit of wisdom about opening / saving older sets
If you “Save As….“ a L12 project without doing a Collect All and Save, you won’t duplicate all the audio files in a set, you’ll just create a new, L12 .als file that hardly takes up any space.
