m-labs, as best I can remember, if you power up the R25 while holding down function button F4 it should show you. But I dont think I did this. Somewhere the R25 just came up with a screen display OS 0.3 ... the real thing that tipped me off was when there weren't as many pages in the setup menu as t...

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! The Tibook 550 and 667 models are **especially** unsuited for audio use - in any app. This is due to the lack of Memory Bandwidth in these 2 models. A older Tibook 500 or a newer generation 667/800/1gig Tibook (the ones with a DVI video output connector on the back) ar...

Hi Y'all So it turns out that my R25 shipped with an 0.3 operating system. hmmm. I contacted my local distributor who emailed me docs and an updater which is unfortunately PC only. As I understand it the OS can be sent to the R25 as a standard Midi Sysex file played out of a sequencer. My question i...

Hi Tim I'm currently using a Multiface with cardbus on my Tibook500. Live rewires beautifully into Logic 6.1 under OS9. There is no rewire slave functionality for Live under OSX at the moment (but boy, the Ableton team know its wanted!). Live will act as a Rewire MASTER in OSX so you can stream Reas...

OT: Can the ReMote 25 send MIDI clock?
Hi all Trying to find out if the Novation ReMote 25 will send MIDI clock. I know it has start and stop keys. I want to run LIVE on 2 laptops with it and I think it would be much more reliable if they were BOTH slaves rather than one the slave of the other. Then if one lappie goes down or freezes, th...

We tend to write a whole lot of individual parts in Logic, then put them into Live for triggering ideas and some favourite fx tricks and then use Live's arrange page for the rough order. Then we render long (i.e. song-length) aiff's of each part and several fx bus only passes. We then open these in ...
