hi link is nice got it set up whats the best way to get the audio from the iPad into the computer (i.e. into Ableton Live)? i plugged a cable straight from iPad headphone outs into my input on my audio interface, but it sounds sh#t do i need to buy one of those fancy iPad interfaces? Or is there an ...

No Problems for me, (well actually plenty of problems using Live and it crashing but I don't think that's due to using both versions)

just rename 64bit version(if that's the version you are currently using)to something else so when you installing the 32bit version doesn't save over the top of it

I have been having real big trouble with Live crashing when I use Kontakt

its so frustrating, don't know whos fault it is, Ableton or NI

after a little while I get sick of it and use my other DAW (Reason)

I have watched the Groove 3 videos and some on Macpro, I have watched the ones that have interested me not just the Ableton Live ones I just got the one month membership when they were on sale, watched as much as I could and then cancelled after a month what I found was that I didn't learn too much ...

Yeah ever since I got NI komplete Ableton has crashed on me so many times

I really like some of the libraries in Kontakt but sick of Ableton crashing with it

I agree about Reason, I am a Reason user been using it for about 4 years, never had it crashed once

are you trying to run 32bit vsts in your 64bit ableton?

that's what was happening to me, a certain plugin was stuffing me up

I subscribe to Computer Music Magazine... (works out heaps cheaper for me living in australia and all.) The best thing about them is the producer masterclass videos, however i found this newagents that sold all these old computer and future music magazine DVDs for AU$2,it was awesome picked up heaps...

I haved looked into this a far bit because i want to get one as well.

Sony PCM D50 seem very good quality but a little expensive.

value wise Zoom H2 like other people have said, you cant go past, plus it comes with everything needed to record ( even a windscreen)

Are you using .wav samples at high volumes or instruments like guitars and bass that you still have plugged into the mixer with the volume turned up? You are a legend, I think this might be the problem? I have my mic still plugged in and my guitar lead minus guitar plugged into my audio interface.....

why does the work i do in reason 4 sound so much better to me than in live 7?

for both i dont use no 3rd party plug ins for my mixes ( i know you cant use 3rd party plug ins in reason)

Reason sounds crisp and clean and has plenty of punch and volume, live 7 sounds muddy and lacks volume
