I had a nice fade in going but now the redline for automation is black and in the little drop down list the track volume is greyed out...my return track automations are still active though...anyome know what the deal is?

Definately isn't tech-house, but def. some style of house. My only suggestion would be to change the bass patch/setting, just sounds too raw imo. Did you use zeta? I would add some ambience to the vocals as well to brighten it up. Keep it up.
