i prefer regular eq'ing. anyways. the ducking is only appropriate for pre-arranged, pre mixed clips. also, the kicks in a track have a decent range, so if the kicks are up in the lower mid section, it's very difficult to bass duck. to properly do it, you need a function to tell the compressor where ...

how can you set it to your settings?
my drum rack's "pads" are set to notes, so i don't have to scroll up and down, i just tell it which samples go into the notes. mine goes C0-C6.
