Re: Shouldn't there be a section devoted to The Bridge?

Not going to succeed if it isn't given a push... I would imagine that Ableton would want it to do well given that it put resources into making it a performance option.

Shouldn't there be a section devoted to The Bridge?

Just wondering why there isn't? Isn't this an important, and possibly distinctly different enough topic from regular production work, for Ableton to promote to DJs? Maybe there isn't enough interest, but there seems to be a need to educate DJs who don't know enough how to use Serato's SSL (and event...

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

No built-in recycle-like slicing = major fail. Props always talk about workflow but there is no worse workflow for working with sliced material than having to open a file in recycle, slice it, export it, open reason, browse for Rex file and open it in dr. Octorex. I can't believe they finally inclu...

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

Thinking aloud here: In Reason 5, if you could export a Block - wouldn't that be similar to an Ableton Live Clip? And if so, wouldn't this be a core component for on the fly arrangements for performing music live within a future version of Reason - or a whole new performance software from Propellerh...

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

did you notice this on their "more" page: http://www.propellerheads.se/reason5/index.cfm?fuseaction=get_article&article=more Scale Clips by Resizing By pressing the alt or option key, Record 1.5 lets you timestretch individual clips. Now you can stretch loops to match your song's tempo, or expand sa...

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

all of this definitely competes with Maschine and Akai stuff - but without the HW. I own the Maschine HW so MIDI set up here we come. Nice to see this stuff come to fruition. I now hope that Recycle works like Reason into Record and it will be an amazing workflow... its pretty damn good now as it is...

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

I don't think you can beat the Ableton Live session view on its own terms. Its a very well thought out paradigm for a certain way to perform live using software. So, I would expect the Props to think about the live performance options differently - and in the case of Reason/Record build in the optio...

Re: What's up with the Props???????????

Conceptually it appears to me that Record is the master host and now things like Reason and/or possibly Recycle are the plugins... think about it. They are changing the paradigm right in front of our eyes... Who needs VST if they keep going down this route? ;) Aren't there third party plug ins in R...
