Thinking aloud here: In Reason 5, if you could export a Block - wouldn't that be similar to an Ableton Live Clip? And if so, wouldn't this be a core component for on the fly arrangements for performing music live within a future version of Reason - or a whole new performance software from Propellerh...

all of this definitely competes with Maschine and Akai stuff - but without the HW. I own the Maschine HW so MIDI set up here we come. Nice to see this stuff come to fruition. I now hope that Recycle works like Reason into Record and it will be an amazing workflow... its pretty damn good now as it is...

I don't think you can beat the Ableton Live session view on its own terms. Its a very well thought out paradigm for a certain way to perform live using software. So, I would expect the Props to think about the live performance options differently - and in the case of Reason/Record build in the optio...

Conceptually it appears to me that Record is the master host and now things like Reason and/or possibly Recycle are the plugins... think about it. They are changing the paradigm right in front of our eyes... Who needs VST if they keep going down this route? ;) Aren't there third party plug ins in R...
