Re: Where to save downloaded Live Packs and Live Sets?

Hi. Just drag them into an open empty live set, and they will install and save correctly in your library.

Re: If you use Drum Racks and Samplers, check THIS out...

Thanks a lot for sharing. Since you seem to know you way around sampler... is there an easy way to change the timbre of the selected sample (kick for instance) by incomming note velocity. So that it becomes more naturalistic sounding?

Re: Any advice on how to "liven" up a dead-sounding room?

One way you could do it, is to rack up some reverbs on a return track. Feed it with soome vinyl crackle (density really low !) and a room input to get the occasional cough . This does not mean that what you are getting is true stereo, but merely you are distributing the mono signal to both channels. This is regarded as undes...

The dynamic mics are mono. Make sure that in live, you chose the correct mono input (drop down menu)

Both your soundcards are able to record dynamic mics.
The alesis has an input meter, it should be fairly easy to monitor to mic gain.
Take a deep breath, and check your connections again.

Why not buy some hammered keys and start to utilize the soft-synths you already have ....if you want analogue route them out through some nos valves......
Or go for the moog.
