I wanted to chime in here. I gave up trying to sync external stuff in Ableton.. I'm slowly migrating to Cubase for some projects. The only truly solid midi sync I had was with the Elektron Analog4 using Overbridge. Otherwise, it's all over the place. Different devices had different 'sync latencies'....

In my experience, I never had solid sync with anything over usb.. I spent the money on a MOTU microlite and now it's amazing.

(and ya, previously I noticed plugin latency seemed to throw off sync)

Win10 here. jestermgee, if you haven't used it much recently, are you on the most recent update? This is where my issues started.

Just jumping in here to say me too. Omnisphere was great on the last update but will crash when browsing presets now. (I've also noticed the new arp doing weird things)
I've reported this to Spectrasonics... hopefully they get to the bottom of it.

I'll bet OSC is something Ableton is working on.

In the meantime, what do we do? I guess we get some kind of program running in the background that converts OSC to MIDI info?

Gonna do some more testing.. The thing is there isn't any 'noticeable' noise when Amp is deactivated. Could it be amplifying any un-noticeable sound though? I've got a laptop made by ADK Proaudio.. I was running it with XP32 for a year with no real issues. Now I've got Win764 running.. and I think everything is working, but my CPU usage is HIGH. In Reaper64, Alchemy uses maybe 6-7%CPU on a given patch, and 24% in Ableton. What is going on? The CPU is an...

I think Win7 was running updates in the background, causing this. Finishing updates, rebooting, and running that DISTRO file again seems to have fixed it.

I have other issues.. but we'll see how it goes!
