Make sure APIC is on in your bios... Not APCI...... APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controllers). Reboot, make sure you have the XP CD ready, because you might need it. If your bios doesn't have APIC, it might be listed as something else. Changing this setting for me changes my CPU driver betw...

Thanks to this thread, http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49087&highlight=trigger+finger I was able to get it working. Weird thing is, it actually got worse before it got better. The TF dissapeared completely (from the OS level). Then there were USB root hub errors in the device manage...

Trigger Finger losing MIDI in Live 6.0.1

Hey guys, Just setup my new box with Live 6.0.1 and everything just installed and worked like a champion... except I'm having a problem with the trigger finger. I have 3 M-Audio devices connected and the other 2 just work. The trigger finger seems to lose its midi connection after about 10 minutes. ...

I don't have a BCF-2000 but is there a shift or alt button on it? If it does, try holding it down while pressing arm / solo on the BCF. If you follow machinate's instructions, turn them off. Then you don't need to hold control on the keyboard while arming / soloing multiple tracks. The same will app...

I have both in my studio that I share with some friends. Depending on what you want to do, they both have some advantages. The projectmix out of the box is way easier to use, the surface is simple and everything is easy to find (It has like 1 or 2 settings, the DAW mode). The 01x can be a real compl...

I sat in one of these for 3 years at my last job... http://www.hermanmiller.com/CDA/SSA/Product/0,1592,a10-c440-p8,00.html Now every other chair I sit in sucks. High tech companies always get them, and then when they go out of business you can buy them on Ebay for cheap. If you don't mind the "...

Hey guys, Is it normal when using external sync that the BPM display in Live doesn't update? 1. I have EXT selected on machine one 2. Machine 2 changes the tempo 3. Machine one's metronome changes tempo but the BPM display in Live still says whatever it was before the change. For some reason it does...

What about for those of us who seldomly use the mouse to change parameters. Control surfaces baby!

Some sort of midi assignable toggle would work for me.

Indeed! I am totally impressed. It's a nice clean simple interface that just works! No complicated setup, no weird mode changes to get into hidden functions. Everything is on the surface and there are no buttons that I don't use. I thought 'shift' was dead too, but try shift -> play to continue play...

This may sound foolish, but I somehow got exclusive arming working. I don't know how exactly but I believe it to be one of two things. 1. I loaded live the other day and it said my preference cfg file was corrupted by another version of live and had to recreate it. 2. Because of point 1 I had to go ...

It does have ADAT. Ignore that message. As for the shift -> arm. I was told by m-audio support that ableton has not built this into the mackie HUI support. I'm not sure what this really means, but they said it will be supported in one of the next updates. I am talking about exclusive mode here. Turn...

Hey spider, what do you mean it has no adat? on the product page it says... ADAT Lightpipe, S/PDIF and word clock I/O > total digital connectivity.

Is there some other ADAT that I'm missing? I have one and it connects digitally to every other digital interface I own.

+1 for this feature. I too would like the warp unlinked from the loop button. This seems like an easy way to loop sounds at their native playback speeds without having to mess around in the clip.

Sorry, I mean the price on the M-Audio site. The Live 5 bundle price on Ableton's site is still the same.
