Re: touchstrip as pitchbend in drum rack
ah.. thanks for that Youtube quote. That makes sense. I hope it's (re)implemented... the touchstrip is great, I need that way more than scrolling. the octave up and down would be fine too.

touchstrip as pitchbend in drum rack
Is there a way to use the touch strip as a pitch bend in a drum rack, instead of the scrolling behaviour?
One of my favourite things is pitch bend individual drum hits. I realise I could probably make up a m4l device to do this and apply it to an encoder - but I really like that touchstrip!

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD
I actually really like playing the keys in Touchable. I didn't think that I would enjoy a touch screen keyboard, but it's actually quite fun and easy to play. So with that in mind, using it as a simple pitch bend and modulation wheel, associated with the instrument you are playing is all I'm thinkin...

Re: TouchAble - complete controller for Ableton Live & IPAD
This update makes TouchAble incredible!
There are 2 more things that would make this totally awesome for my workflow:
1. optional Pitch Bend module in keyboard
2. optional Modulation wheel in keyboard
But thanks for the AMAZING work.

Re: McMillen SoftStep Midi Foot Controller is Finally Available!
The Max incompatibility is just something I'm guessing. I'm probably wrong. I am definitely not going to touch the firmware on my SS until after my OS tour, which will be in April. I will need to do that to use the new software. I can't risk it not working. I hope you understand. ..... Unless, the g...

Re: McMillen SoftStep Midi Foot Controller is Finally Available!
Well, my MBP, comparatively is as fast, or possibly faster. I'm wondering if your problem has something to do with MaxMSP? As the software is written in Max, it could be some old install of another Max based app causing havoc with the SS software. I'm just guessing here, but you could test it by ins...

Re: McMillen SoftStep Midi Foot Controller is Finally Available!
I am currently away from my setup for a little while so I can't check .... But, I haven't upgraded the firmware and software for a few months. If it ain't broke ..... I ain't touching it! I'm pretty sure the software I'm using is 1.03 but I'm not sure what firmware. I can check in a few days. I hone...

Re: McMillen SoftStep Midi Foot Controller is Finally Available!
Just thought it would be worth chiming in with my experience with the Softstep. I've had it since the first run, last year and have used it already in over a dozen gigs. Like LoopStationZebra, I'm on a Mac... however, my experience has been flawless. I have had no trouble with the software at all. T...

Re: Best guitar amp for 500?
definitely check out the ZT Lunchbox or Club:
http://www.ztamplifiers.com/
My Lunchbox has been unbelievably amazing at gigs recently and it's tone is comparable to some of my other tube amps. It really breaks-up well and has a great warm, big sound. And it's so tiny!??

Re: Any 'Small' studio monitors that are good quality ?
The Solo 6's are awesome. Strangely, I was not sold on the Twin's. I felt the bottom end wasn't as clear as the solo's.. however,I didn't get to try them in my room. I'd be keen to give them a crack again. The main room at my studio has Focal SM11's and can safely say, these are some of the best mon...

Re: Any 'Small' studio monitors that are good quality ?
to add to your list... I recently borrowed a number of small monitors.. including the Genelecs. Dynaudios, Adams, Focals.. etc... I was utterly blown away by the Focal CMS series. I bought a pair of CMS 65's for our editing suite at the studio and I took home a pair of very small CMS 50's. The CMS 5...

Re: again with the lemur...
.. actually.. I would like to add. I did have a week period where my Lemur was lagging. After 4 days or so of it showing signs of latency, it refused to start up. After contacting Jazz Mutant, within 2 days I had a new motherboard shipped. All was good again. Perhaps reports you heard were actually ...
