Re: Macbook Pro with Ableton runs extremely hot
I experience the same problem when i am not using an external monitor. I am on macbook pro 16" i9 and Catalina 10.15.7. But if i turn of dynamic switching/the Radeon Graphics card and use the intel only, it is way better. Unfortunally i do not think it is possible to use the Intel graphics card...

Re: External plugin settings gone or deleted
Ok, thanks again. I will wait for a reply from ableton then. Thought maybe the preset settings were saved in cache except for if you choose collect and save. Then all settings would be saved together with live set. But lets hope i am wrong

Re: External plugin settings gone or deleted
Thanks for answer!I am talking about AU plugins. I had backed up all my live sets before my old computer broke down so if the settings were saved together with project, they should have been there. But the plugins in 3/4 of my live sets are put back to default mode. After some hours of searching the...

Re: Brand New MacBook Pro 16'' - Loud Fan Noise
Has anyone found a way to fix this problem? I am experiencing the same fan madness. I have search both this and other forums, and found out that it is gpu spikes that is causing the fans to run wild, but still have not found a way to prevent the gpu from going crazy.

Re: macOS CPU performance related to WindowServer
Unfortunally this does not seem to work for me. I have tried every single advice i could find, including Options.txt, but still experience laggy behaviour, GPU spikes on AMD Radeon Pro, and fans that are runing like crazy. The only thing that works is to hide the Ableton window.... but that is kind ...

Re: next scene / previous scene without the launch button ???
M4L is great for making things possible, that ableton hasn't already implemented. I'm pretty new to M4L myself, but I'm at the moment working on the connection between M4L and the functions in ableton. Just fixed a problem that has been bugging me for a long time: that it isn't possible to midi map ...

Re: next scene / previous scene without the launch button ???
You can build a patch in Max4Live to launch next/previous scene, and midi map this to a footswitch. I made a similar patch some time ago for same reasons. If you have M4L, I could upload it on Maxforlive.com if your interested.
