i have this same problem, but i don't think it has to do with drive space. what did u do to fix the problem?

Thanks for the reply Palmer, but I don't think that's it.
Turns out I was mistaken and that the only mp3 files it won't play or cue are those that were recorded on my m-audio microtrack. other mp3's work fine. nevertheless, does anyone have any idea why the microtrack files wouldn't work? they play ...

no, it mp3's from all different sources. including ones i recorded on my microtrack.

I'm using a new Mac Book Pro running the most recent version of Live 8 Suite.
When I try to cue an mp3 file from the file browser, I get the message "(file) could not be read. The file may be unlicensed or corrupt."
