Ok, I'll bite.
First, there is absolutely no need to record different parts on different channels. Midi is just a communication method, it has nothing to do with sound.
Second, to have alternative outputs in live, you set up additional audio channels. It's a little tedious for the first time but ...

Ima dive in here. When I used live, I had almost NO problems with CPU (compared especially to others) but one thing that was strange was that sometimes when using certain sites on the web, there would be a big hit.
I've also experienced this with other hosts so OBVIOUSLY it's a graphics/driver ...
