When recording; let's say a live show, straight to disk LIVE will stop recording due to an error message pop up, File size exceeds.. etc I've filed this to support as a bug a decade ago, which they said they would resolve. The software should split the audio into 2GB files if that's all it can handle.

Is this still the issue in Live 11? This is a long-time request from me.

I noticed that there are a lot of duplicate instruments in my library. It seems Live named them .....-1
It might be because I merged three libraries?

My question: Is there an easy way around, to get rid of them? Without manually searching and deleting in the browser?

Good to hear that IKMultimedia has acknowledged this problem, that's a small step in a good direction. I missed the obvious. I was checking the website for updates instead of the vst it self. Thanks for the info, the bug is fixed.

Oh, I would also like to mention:
I did get an acknowledgment from Lennard himself, stating that it would be fixed in an update of sylenth1. But that's now around 9 months ago.. I have not re-contacted him yet about this, but maybe Ableton headquarter could /poke him.

I am still having this issue and it's really counter productive. Especially due to the fact that: if live crashes, sylenth1 resets all its altered patch sounds. So, you lose custom made patches, unless you save them individually as .fxp's along the way... Which is a hassle, to say the least.

You could do all that with Live its Rack feature.
Though, it could boost the work flow, maybe, or give inspiration when you are just messing around with it.

As soon as a concrete idea takes place I press Cmd/Shift+S and from there on .... Cmd+S turns into a nerve twitch, that I just have to obey.
When Live Crashes it usually recovers the track's midi/audio data but not the sound design (fxp's) done/created in Sylenth1 ):

In my humble opinion: Mastering starts when making the sounds that create the track and should not start when the track is finished, you would only destroy the dynamics and increase the overall loudness perception and decibel rating. Ableton - EQ8 -, tweak every sound in the track until it fulfills ...
