re: k2 in live 5
Is it possible to load multiple instruments and assign them to different track in Live with just one VST instance of Kontakt ?? Yes. You can use the "Outputs" section to create multiple output channels (I think the K2 update actually gives you version with 8 outs and 16 outs). You then as...

Re: Kontakt 2 with Live?
I've been using K2 with Live a bunch and it's lots of fun. K2's "Outputs" section is great: basically you can have one track in Live as MIDI input and then create output channels for different groups within an instrument. On drums, for example, you edit in one MIDI track but send each grou...

RE: Smooth crossfading using the computer's keyboard
It is possible to click on the crossfader and then use the arrow keys on the computer's keyboard to nudge the crossfader. What I'm asking for is the ability to assign 2 keys to work just like the right and left arrow keys with the crossfader selected, but without having to select the crossfader with...

Smooth crossfading using the computer's keyboard
I've been playing with Live 5 and there doesn't seem to be a way to smoothly move the crossfader using the computer's keyboard. I can snap the crossfader to left, middle, and right, but I can't slowly move it unless I use the mouse or a MIDI keyboard/controller. I'd like to be able to move the cross...

Re: Fading the Crossfader
telekom, Thanks for the info. I was unclear in my vocabulary and was actually looking for a way to do smooth crossfades using my LAPTOP's keyboard. I have a MIDI keyboard at home but I don't travel with it. ### Clearscreen, That looks like it might work. I'll give it a shot, thanks! ### Abletoners, ...

Re: Fading the crossfader
Yeah, I figured out how to do it with the mouse/trackpad. I was wondering if there's a way to do smooth crossfades with the keyboard. That would provde a lot more control when I'm playing out. Thanks for the help.

Fading the crossfader
Is there a way to map the keyboard to do smooth crossfades in Live 5b17? I've figured out how to use the keyboard to cut the crossfader to left, middle, and right, but I'm looking for a way to do smooth fades over time. Thanks.
