Tip for keeping sub-bass in same key as high-end.
Hey, Just came up with a trick for keeping my sub-bass in the same key as the mid-range, not sure if this is a good idea or not though, let me know if there's a better way... So, new instrument rack, two instances of Operator. First one for the sub, transposed by -12 st, mono, low-pass filter at 100...

Re: A fat reverb !
mverb is free and sounds pretty warm/big good to me, just make sure you split your frequencies and don't add too much to the low-end. I prefer it to Live's built-in reverb for apply to a bassline.

Re: ANyone know how to make a good sub bass?
tip: split the frequencies and add subtle filter/saturation, compression and mono the low-end.
Also, EQ your low, mid and high differently to accentuate the best parts of each.

Make a sound more close and warm?
Hey,
I've got some finger snap samples I'm trying to use, but they have a small amount of reverb which I want to get rid off. Any tips to make them sound closer to the ear and more "warm" (best word I can think of.. )?
Cheers

Drum rack: duplicate a chain without creating a "Multi"?
Hey, there's got to be an easy way to do this but I just can't figure it out..
I want to duplicate a chain in drum rack, but when I click duplicate it creates a thing called a Multi. How do I create a new chain list from an existing chain?
Cheers!

Re: Soften the saw up/down in Operator?
Yeah the LFOs... good idea using an oscillator, but I'd want to route it to the filter frequency
I guess I could use a sine and just re-trigger exactly half way through? Anyone tried that? Sounds like a pain in the ass..

Soften the saw up/down in Operator?
Hey, I find that whenever I use the saw up/down waveforms in Operator they're generally pretty harsh at the peak and trough and causes a kind of loud ping, click or beep depending on the oscillators. In Massive you can combine waveforms, so you can soften to peak and trough with a sine or whatever. ...

Using Operator's LFO Rate<Key option while using Sync mode?
Hey,
When I select Sync as the LFO's mode the Rate<Key gets disabled Is there a way around this or do I just have to use automation?
Cheers!

Modulate Operator's Tone control by pitch?
Hey, I've noticed I can get some cool sounds by sweeping the global Tone control at different notes. I know I can achieve this using automation, but I was wondering if it's possible in Operator to have the Tone be a function of the note pitch like you can with the filter's Freq<Key and the LFO's Rat...

Re: free operator dubstep bass rack
Very cool! Set the pitch envelope at about +30 sustain and 30%, then set the spread about 40%... some very nice gritty top-end effect going on there I'm going to analyse every detail of this patch, cheers

Where to live: Melbourne or Sydney?
I'm looking to move to Australia in a few months, I'm pretty certain it'd either be melbourne or sydney as they're the most populated. I've googled my ass off trying to find differences between the two, though I've not managed to find much more than Sydney being more expensive and Melbourne having b...

Looking for Mac alternatives for GClip and otiumFX Compadre
GClip: I like how I can see my waveform and exactly what's being clipped. Compadre: I want a compressor for use on my kicks. Ableton's native one really doesn't cut it and Rough Rider is hard hitting but also introduces a lot of grittyness to the sound. Feel free to recommend some non-free alternati...
