Re: sound installation auto start
Hi pozek, if i understand you correctly the problem is the file restoring dialog which appears after a crash, right? This dialog can be suppressed with this option: -NoRestoreDocumentDialog By the way, creating a crash report can be disabled with this option: -DisableAutoBugReporting To enable an op...

Re: Lion - hangs on initailizing and midi ports missing
Hi VikVersa, I'm not sure if this issue has been resolved in the meantime. But these steps might help: Live uses the Mac's system MIDI functionality. When there are no MIDI ports available in Live than there's obviously a problem with MIDI on system level. Please try this: - make sure Live isn't run...

Re: Erroneous "cannot locate plugin" errors still occurring
Hey guys, is anyone experiencing this problem on Windows, too? From the data I received so far it seems to be a Mac-only problem and probably Snow Leopard, only. Unfortunately, I still wasn't able to reproduce this problem on our test machines. I'm still searching for the missing link. Most probably...

Re: Erroneous "cannot locate plugin" errors still occurring
Hi Vance, hi Kabelton, I'm currently investigating the problem you're describing. At the moment unfortunately it's quite unclear why this message box pops up in this case. Could you please send a Live status report to support@ableton.com (http://www.ableton.com/pages/support/report-live-8) to the at...

Re: setting up MPD26 to ableton
At least in the factory preset documentation of the MPD26 it is preset 1: http://www.akaipro.com/stuff/contentmgr/files/21/015e0c863e58500a45a9d7d5bddfea0b/file/mpd26___factory_preset_documentation.pdf It might be different on the MPD24, though. Unfortunately we don't have a MPD26 in house for testi...

Re: How to render a certain loop directly in Ableton
This is of course possible!
Just select the signal source of the desired MIDI track in the "Audio From" chooser of an audio track.
Cheers,
Marian

Re: live + 3 delta 66's
Hi, basically you can only setup one audio card/driver in Live. Some audio cards are cascadable so they will appear as one big card instead of different single cards. On Mac you should also check out the aggregate device functionality: http://www.apple.com/pro/techniques/aggregateaudio/ But also her...

Re: How to render a certain loop directly in Ableton
You're right! New audio clips are only created when cropping audio files and MIDI clips retain MIDI clips. If you want to render MIDI clips into audio clips you still need to record the audio output of your MIDI device. I would suggest to record your MIDI source once into an audio track and then per...

Re: cmd-drag selection in Arrange still broken (OSX)
Ah, sorry! Now I understand. I've thought that the problem appears when dragging selected clips... The problem behind this issue is that the insert marker can't be set to a position off the grid. Which indeed is a bug on Mac (it works correct on Windows). This results in a strange behavior when maki...

Re: How to render a certain loop directly in Ableton
Hi, you can try the following: - open the clip view - change length of the clip (start and end marker) - select "Crop Sample" for audio clips and "Crop Clip" for MIDI clips in the context menu of the clip view (right click on the waveform/ piano roll background) -> this will crea...

Re: cmd-drag selection in Arrange still broken (OSX)
Please try the following:
- make selection
- start dragging with mouse
- press cmd
-> snap to grid should be disabled
Alternatively you can press cmd+4 to disable snap to grid.
Best Regards,
Marian
