Re: Live Python3

You won't get an answer to that here,.... Cheers D Shouldn’t the feature wishlist forum be deleted then? Think of it like an old wishing well. It's been at the heart of a village for over 200 years and holds sentimental value for a few old men. It's soon to concreted over to form part of "the dream...

Re: extract chain with automations and volume

+1 Kind of ridiculous as is. The only way around this right now is to duplicate the entire rack and delete everything you don't need... Sometimes it's hard to imagine that Live has been around as long as it has with glaring issues like this unresolved. :? If it wasn't for M4L I'd probably be ...

Re: Console 1 full Integration with ableton

If you're able to use the AU version of the Console 1 plugins you can use my Console 1 track follow device to get "full" control of Ableton Live just like in the official control scheme. The only difference is that if you switch to using the Mouse the controller won't follow your selections in Ablet...

Re: MPE support.

MPE support would be amazing! Hopefully we hear that they are planning it soon. The biggest issue is that editing MPE data is very difficult. Its cumbersome to use multiple clips to play MPE devices but it works. Editing is a huge pain’us in the anus. Possible temporary solutions: The ability to gro...

Re: Push 2 with 2 softwares.

Push has 2 MIDI ports; Live Port and User Port. The Live port is for controlling Live but the user port is free for any use. If you are simply trying to send MIDI data to another application, you could switch to “User Mode” and choose the corresponding MIDI port (User Port) in your second app. User ...

Beap
+1

Beap is free, built into Max, and is super easy to use as long as you can patch modular.

Expanded view for Max for Live devices

I'd like to see the ability to added the expanded view you see in native Ableton Live devices such as Wavetable, EQ8, etc... to Max for Live devices. This would greatly expand available GUI space and make M4L devices feel more integrated into Ableton Live.

Re: Anyone using tc electronics new hardware controllers?

PC only here, on a side note, I have all 4 of these little controllers, got a stand arriving today especially for these 4 little beauts.... I really like the idea of these controllers. Any dedicated 1:1 controller for software makes for quick editing without the limitations (and less of cables) tha...

Re: Master Pattern Switcher (Launchpad Sysex+x)

It’s been a while since I’ve worked with Windows and I overlooked this (and that you were on Windows) :/ . After a while you start to forget things like Multi client MIDI limitations and only being able to use 1 audio interface etc.. that comes with using Windows  Multiple channels as suggeste...

Re: Track selection triggering devices research.

I agree it’s possible. I remember finding something on the Max forums (cycling74) where using this.device you could find its number relative to the other devices on the track. Using that method you could select a particular device (relative to the Max device) and enable it when the track is selected...

Re: Anyone using tc electronics new hardware controllers?

VST3 Changes nothing for Console 1 unfortunately. The AU supports track names and numbers (Mac only though obviously).

If you are on Mac and using the AU I also made a free Max device that makes Live follow the controller.

Re: Master Pattern Switcher (Launchpad Sysex+x)

This is actually quite possible with Max for live and the Sysex/MIDI externals that are stickied to the top of the Max forum here. https://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=220637 You’d use a MIDI in to receive from the Launchpad, and then make as many imp.midi outs as you need assigned to your...

Re: VST UI in Max For Live

Yes (for some instruments) It can become pretty complex very quickly though depending on what you plan to do. Max is capable of loading VST’s. If you use Max to load the VST you can create your own control setup for the plugin in Max. The one catch is that the controls must be visible to host automa...
