Re: Plugin that converts incoming audio to MIDI?
Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, you might wanna think about sidechaining a gate. put the gate on the synth sound sidechained to the kick drum, so that when it hits it opens the gate and lets the synth sound thru. you could also extract the groove from a kick drum track, that gets you...

Re: Best way to use sampled synth sounds?
a sound you put in sampler sounds sampled? hmmm.... anyway make sure the start and end points are on zero-crossings or you might get clicks. Leave sampler's settings on default until you get rid of your problems then turn on LFOs, looping, etcItsAPandemic wrote:It sounds like its being looped or sampled.

if you warp with repitch then the keys will change. Approx 6% shift in speed causes a half step key change... which is +7 keycodes

Re: mastering Dj in Live question
your going to send a DJ mix to be mastered? unless you are putting out a GU cd or something that doesn't make much sense to me. Also what you are doing in the mix sounds kinda sketchy, if you are having to do all of that to make the tracks sound good then the tracks need some work first. I would jus...

Re: Make 100's if Sweeps, Risers, Faller, in Minutes
if you really want to get crazy throw some shit in sampler and set it to loop then start messing with the pitch envelope. Gives you more control over what is going on plus all the LFO stuff

Re: Opposite to Compression? Removing triangles and cowbells.
gate?? depends on your source material but a gate will work if the cowbells or whatever are not playing on top of what you want to keep. or you could try some selective volume cuts or eq.

Re: good tricks to get a more stereo sound from a mono signal?
One thing I did based off of it was have a mono 'center' source, and then L and R haas-delayed-reverbed side channels (which were then phase cancelled using Utility at 200%). That Mid-side-Haas action really brought a lot of life to the drum track! hey yur2die4, why did you use the Utility to phase...

Re: Best process to layer sounds with?
I think you got it already - use eq to split out the spectrum, reverb / compression / saturation / distortion in varying amounts to make things "gel." If you are having alot of trouble, try different sounds. If the sounds you are trying to combine don't sit well together don't force it. Tr...

Re: How to make pitch bend work in several VST's?
if you drop down the automation menu there should be a "Midi ctrl". I'm pretty sure pitch bend should be somewhere in there... it might not be labeled correctly, it might be "Ctrl 31" or something similar. Try recording it in and then look at which midi ctrl got the automtion.
