Re: Moog SlimPhatty...
I would assume it won't be a direct translation of that US price, but think about how much cheaper the Voyager RME is (like £1K?).
LP stage 2 was £835 on Dv247.com last time I checked, apparently they've gone up a little.

Re: Moog SlimPhatty...
The original advert in the AMS magazine said $799, which is closer to £500.
£300 less for no keys sounds about right

Yes audiotuts+ is good most of the time (some of their tuts are a bit useless), and it updates most days, so bookmark it

Re: RIP Abletons forum as we know it
I've not been about as much (thanks stupidly busy job...) but it does seem the signal/noise ratio on here has taken something of a dive recently.
Shame, this place used to be both quite fun and useful.

http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/production/quick-tip-how-to-emulate-a-theremin-sound-in-ableton-live/ That'll show you how to make one in operator. Of course, the same steps work on almost any softsynth with mono-mode, glide, a sine wave oscillator and an LFO :) I also like to use the saturator ...

Re: PS3 or XBOX360 ????
yes, I read lots of reviews about demon souls, but I don't think I really could stand this difficulty level... I'm not a hardcore gamer, even If I like difficulty and hard games, fact is, I don't want to do the same level 50 times before managing to get to the boss, then... die again  deadspac...

How do you find the Gaia? Im tempted by one... It sound good? Whats it best at? I JUST got it on Monday, and have only spent 30 minutes or so with it. It's a very straightforward virtual analog synth that has great a great, full sound. I like how simple/straightforward the layout is for programming...

Re: First programming language
So are any of these languages useful for developing cross platform stuff? C# requires windows or something similar, right? how large is the apple developer kit? For cross-platform you're basically looking at Web stuff these days (although Java is also a reasonable option). The problem is cross-plat...

Re: First programming language
Or you could start small with a scripting language? If not, I'd personally recommend C# as it's not as 'hard' as C, C++, but if you ever feel the need to do something in C, C++ in the future, a lot of it will feel familiar if you have a grasp of C#. C# is windows based for the most part though, not...

I got put off the whole SCRUM thing as soon as I saw that one of the 'Roles' (or whatever) in it is called 'Scrum Master'.
Now that's just stupid. I'll stick with my TDD and boring old standard PM stuff ta.
