1. Waveform view is now inaccurate:

Please can we have a pref for switching between the new FFT waveform view and the old "sample" view? Clicks and impulses now show inaccurately and with pre ringing and I would like to be able to see the ACTUAL sample data when performing many operations.

So, even if ableton had a global tune and you could select A as 432.1 Hz then this still wouldn't be of any use to you then as that would affect the tuning in an identical way to the workaround i suggested.

It's funny actually, I remember reading a thread somewhere on the net about people pushing the idea that dance music written to more "cosmic" tuning than 440 would affect people more positively on the dancefloor!

I also remember thinking that the idea was complete horseshit as djs repitch the audio ...

seriously, many live sets sound better than the dj because there is more dynamic range and the sound guy simply turns it up. As long as your mix is great it's guaranteed to sound better than hypercompressed CDs and/or overloud mastering.

I still haven't upgraded to 8 because it can't even play back modest L7 sets without crapping out. Also stop making addons when the software still has so many issues that have been left unaddressed.

432.10 is desired rather than 440.00 tuning, so:

1. Multiply your desired track tempo by 1.018282805 (44000/43210)

2. Freeze / render your tracks when done

3. Set your master tempo back to your originally intended tempo whilst ensuring that the audio is set ...

why don't you use something else to produce then. If you can clearly hear so much difference and it bothers you enough, it seems counter productive for you to use live. You will never be happy with anything you create in it.

Maybe you should ditch live and try the demo of 7 when it comes out ...

Yeah I agree, using sends as a group channel works better.

I just got out of that habit because sends used to have some algorithm preventing them going over 0db (presumably to prevent you blowing your monitors when sending a send to itself and causing too much feedback).

hmm, after reading and trying out the rack tutorial on how to create dry wet controls for any plugins i just came to the same conclusion lol! ;)

i really need to make some useful racks too.

This issue would be covered by simply placing a live effect in a rack and saving it with 100% wet ...

I totally see where you're coming from, But...

i spent 3 or 4 minutes creating this rack from the above link and not only does it work perfectly but it only uses one instance of the plugin (any plug in you want, even vsts!!!)

just do it once and save the rack to the top of your library ...

nobody responded last time so either it's not an issue for many users or it got missed.

So, I'm bumping it again as it still niggles me everyday
