Re: Allow Multiple Instances
Just an FUI, and bear in mind I'm on Windows 8.1. Also, this has never worked for me before (and trust me I've tried).... this is with latest version of live 9. I just randomly enabled the "allow multiple instances" option. Opened up a second copy of Ableton. It showed the "Found othe...

Promo Live PA Set [10-18-11] (IDM, 2step, Breaks, Dubsetp)
Hello Ableton forums. I have not posted here in ages and decided to share my latest material with you. I just played an awesome show a couple of days ago but had a pretty epic crash which erased the audio recording. I decided to finish up some tracks in progress and record a new set to pass around. ...

Looking for an experienced M4L programmer for paid proj.
Dear Abletonians, I really need to get back into this forum but I have no time for it. Nor do I have time to wrap my head around m4l. Does anyone else have this problem? I am an an experienced programmer with a solid background in most common programming languages.... I even go into the other visual...

Clip Level Envelopes (would be very useful for live perf.)
So I had an idea today which I think would be particularly very useful in a live performance situation. The the thing is, most of the time when you do a live pa set vsts are quite unstable and running clips with many effects gets processor and memory intensive. The best solution for this is to flatt...

Hey fanu... I'm a big fan. I've had one of your mixes on a cd playing b ack in my car for quite a while now. Keep it up. I love your mellow drum funk vibe.

Ruso - Sample Contest Entry [dancefloor breaks]
I made this song to mess around with the competition.. but after giving it another listen I realized that it turned our really really well... in fact so well that I'm gonna put it into my set even though it's totally differently styled then my music.... And yes, this track uses about 9 drum samples ...

Re: Best way to sync two laptops
Ableton has really stepped up the midi clock during version 7... and it seems to be even better with 8. Ever looked in midi over lan? You could connect the three lap tops to a network hub and network them and then run one as a master. With ableton 7+ you can also compensate for the delay that might ...

Re: launchpad advert - how is it done?
I think it's a little easier maybe...
I could see it being done with an instrument rack containing several drum racks on different chains. Then having several clips with different drum patterns triggering the different chains... all the launch pad has to do is simply trigger the different clips.

Re: Advice: Combining 2 laptops for DJing?
Oh, also, it will be pretty important that you both run asio drivers (ableton's audio preferences)... assuming that most laptops don't support asio you will both need to install Asio4All (http://www.asio4all.com/) And find an audio buffer size that will work for both of you and both have your laptop...

Re: [ambient] first ever ableton tune, suggestions?
Sounds good and well mixed... the tune is nice and loud, I would maybe crank it up a couple decibels and limit it on the master track but other then that keep doing what you're doing.

Ruso - Live Performance On C89.5 FM Seattle [7-26-09]
Yup, Ruso finally played on a public FM radio station. Although the hottest radio station in Seattle.... the place was a hole. Complete piece of crap. They are moving to a new building so they had me playing outside in a highschool hallway :-D It was at 3 in the morning and it was kind of cool to bl...
