+1 for getting rid of the "Check online for updates?" window on launch. I've also had to download manually because the automatic update checker hasn't found any updates. It could be displayed once, and have the option for never showing it again, with instructions on how to check for update...

Seriously, until this 8 nonsense is as stable as Live 4.1.4, then no one should be using Ableton Live for anything more than a clunky studio tool. Yep. This one's really unstable. Can't work even for 2 minutes. I can't really locate the problem either. The crash seems to come regularly, regardless of what I do.

Oh damn. I wish there will be another beta before this one expires. We have a show on the first of January, and files saved with newer betas cannot be opened with 8.1. I only wish there will be a new beta before next year. Please!

I would rather 'suffer' the lack of group tracks in Live 7 than deal with not using Absynth, Massive, Zebra, Kontakt, and as soon as I can afford it Alchemy. It's a pity that Live 8 is so unstable. The features are great, but people won't get to take full advantage of them until the bugs are fixed. Komplete 6 is a great package. I'm not a big fan of Ableton's Suite instruments. I own Suite 7, but don't use it very much. So, my vote goes for Komplete. I've thought about getting one myself.

8.0.5. seems very stable in comparison to older versions of Live 8. Anyway, I got my first crash after a couple of trouble-free days using 8.0.5. Took about 10 minutes on a MacBook Pro. I did try nearly all the betas before the actual 8.0.5. release.
