According to the way most people work, this would not be an essential feature, but a bug.


Explain why is it a bug to split a midi note, while all other hosts has that functionality and it's useful for tons of stuff like:

- Quickly allows you cut and match the ending of many notes in a piano ...

I don't understand why "Command+E" just doesn't split notes in piano roll as it does clips in arrangement view? Such an essential feature still missing.

On PC

Ctrl + A to select all the notes, or select a note, and shift + click to add other notes to your selection, or click and drag a box around notes to select them.

Then...

Shift + Arrow Left to shorten note lengths
Shift + Arrow Right to extend note lengths

I usually take all the notes down ...

Hmm interesting. I use Scarlett 18i8 2nd gen with 2018 Mac Mini.. No issues via Usb-C to Usb-A hub. I guess it's USB3 then but don't see it mentioned anywhere on the product page.

I'm still resetting my clip grid every damn time I make a new clip. Anyone figured this out?

It seems like a little thing, but unnecessary actions like that, that you need to repeat 1000 times a day takes the joy out of using a daw. Recording midi clips and adding notes to midi clips keep ...

Looks like the issue was 10.0.6 activated duplicate control surfaces for my Novation SL mk2 using same port. One with my default custom and other as Remote SL. Deactivating Remote SL fixed the issue.

Since I upgraded to 10.0.6, midi notes C1/C#1/D1/D#1 triggers the Cell 5,6,7 and 8, instead of 1,2,3,4. And E1 triggers Cell 1 (kick), F1 triggers Cell2, and so on.

This is a pretty bad bug to leak into a final release, if the issue is not on my side.

It's a 10.0.2 issue. Downgrading to 10.0.1 and all issues are gone.

I don't even have the problem in 10.0.2. Massive is not a Live 10.0.2 issue for me.

Naturally I use the VST version. There are few or no reasons to use the AU version. Which is not a reason for Ableton to fail to fix AU usage ...

Timing of Melodic Steps is unreliable when you engage the midi mode. Sometimes misses the first beat (even after quantizing the triggering notes), Swing often sounds wrong. Turning delay compansation on and off, and arming/unarming tracks sometimes fix it, sometimes doesn't. Don't observe the ...

They don't properly load. Many settings are wrong thus the patch sounds bad.

Improperly loading presets indicate more serious issues, like permissions.

I'm on macOS 10.12 "Sierra", but I doubt this is a Live 10.0.2 specific issue. Since Live 9.7 or so I've had to obliterate preferences ...
