Newbie Question
Hey Guys
I'm creating a set for a live band setting and I'm dragging the audio files on to the playlist. the question is: how do i zoom in close, so i can see the wavs in detail and drag them to exactly were i want them.

Re: Newbie question: creating live sets
Thanks tlennon
I have to have the Warp function turned off - because parts of some the tracks have different time signatures 4/4-7/4 etc .... and things go a little haywire if ableton tries to sync things up.

Newbie question: creating live sets
Hi
I've been using ableton for live backing tracks with a band ... works great!
However, I need to create a 30min set that runs 5 tracks in one play (from start to finish) I've been loading single tracks one at a time so far.
Question is: can i just continue to drag wavs onto to arrangement view ...

Re: Using Ableton Live with a band playing live
Here's the thing: all I'm trying to do is playback a track - nothing else (apart from panning and volume)
The track has four separate wav files that run in sequence from beginning to end ... easy right? ... nope! one of the tracks runs out of sequence/time with the others? I've turned off the warp ...

Re: Using Ableton Live with a band playing live
time signatures in session view work the same as tempo changes. except you just make a fraction.
for example, "7/4" would give you a 7/4 time signature.
you can put both bpm and time signature changes into a scene play name, e.g. "2/4, 130 bpm"

Thanks Guys

Ableton & Live backing tracks question
Ok - so I just picked up ableton, looks very cool ... just getting started.
Question is: do any of you guys use ableton for backing tracks live ie; live band and laptop?
If so, any tips? can I create entire set lists of songs/wavs at different tempos? and is it stable running multiple wavs.
Thanx
