I recently noticed that when i turn on looping for an audio clip,and hit the loop position button
there appears an orange number to the right of the round "clock" loop symbol, together with a "+" sign.

Anybody knows what this is ?

Converting to aif is indeed possible, but afaik you loose the functionality from apple loops in Live : the aif's won't commit to Live's tempo, which is a big miss imho.

When Live is in Rewire - mode, it can't use third party vst / au plugins.

A nasty shortcoming of Live , which , i hope will be implemented in a future version.
