Re: A FAST sample search? What up with that?

A1. I don't think if it does. But what you can do is use the search to replace them - Do a search for the missing file name(s) Open the the missing file list under the file management window From the search results drag the found sample over to the missing sample and drop it on it. Done A2. No it ju...

Re: A FAST sample search? What up with that?

Just out of question do you have "automatic rescan on search" ON? Because I felt just the same when I started using search but then I found out you can scan your sample library in to a database to speed up the searches. For those that want to know how this is done here's what I do.... Firs...

A3 on spectrum device showing as 440hz...

I'm guessing this was a mistake but shouldn't A4 = 440hz which is the first A above middle C http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_pitch_notation I know this if fixed would really help me because it can get confusing when using spectrum device for note calculations Would also be good if we could d...

Source\Version control

Would love to see this integrated in to Ableton with difference, merge, check in/out etc... I currently use subversion on my projects which does a modest job but can't do a full integration between components i.e. channels, clips etc.... Obviously this would be a huge piece of work but would be the ...

Re: 8.1.4 very unstable for me

Have managed to fix the uninstall problem on my machine... For those who get this problem just: 1. Goto the command prompt 2. Change location to the install folder under the ableton 8.1.4 folder. (i.e. cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Ableton\Live 8.1.4\Install) 3. Type "unwise install.log" That ...

Re: 8.1.4 very unstable for me

One pain I hate the most with ableton is the reconfiguration of my preferences. I have to reset all paths (vst, lib and cache etc...), rebuild all controller info (in's outs for 3 different controllers), rebuild all vst's and then refigure out all my personal preferences. Takes quite a while. It's ...

8.1.4 very unstable for me (Now fixed)

Edit: The fix for this is to be released in to the next release, 8.1.5b2. Hi. When I launch ableton 8.1.4, load one of my tracks created from the previous version (8.1.3) and then play, after 30 seconds the audio freeze's in to a stuttering noise and ableton crashes, and CPU hits around 150%. I hav...

Cycling '74 forums and knowledge base still in the 90's?

Anyone else feel the same?

I think there could be vast improvements to their online/local help documentation.
Think I must be spoilt by what the online/local MSDN library has to offer me as a developer.

(Max itself is rather powerful though and cant really complain about that  )

Re: upgraded to live 8 suite, vista 64 and cant drag and drop mi

have you tried turning UAC in win 7 off? will require a restart but...if you do this and find ableton freezes on launch then you will need to backup and delete the preferences.cfg. typical location: c:\users\<your profile>\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 8.1.1\Preferences\preferences.cfg deleting the p...

Re: upgraded to live 8 suite, vista 64 and cant drag and drop mi

I had a similar issue on Windows 7 where it wont let you drag a file from windows explorer in to live. It turned out to be the fact I was launching ableton live in administrator mode ( windows explorer is not run in admin mode therefore you cant drag n drop to a program run in admin for security rea...

Hot swap bug for some audio effects in M4L

When I load the Max Compressor and adjust the Gain then hot swap the device to a Max CutKiller the new device's gain is not reset back to 0. Example: Open a Max Compressor, change the gain to -20 then hot swap to the Max CutKiller, you should see the gain is still set to -20 for the CutKiller. Is th...

Re: it is time for ableton live 64-bit app...

Well for me, Ableton and all my drivers are working great on my 64-bit Windows 7 machine. Didn't and still don't have 32 bit driver issues.
I'm never going back to the dreaded XP 32-bit build I used to use!!
