Presonus all the way... I had the 828 first and had trouble with it so I returned it. Got the Firestudio and haven't looked back. The reason I chose the Firestudio was because I had the Firebox a year ago and loved it. Thought I would be upgrading with the 828 but it did not sound better (or worse)....

I'm a 35 year old electrical engineer, so I totally get how to PWM multicolor LEDs and I can imagine the gist of what the code would be to do this stuff. what are your thoughts on the best, cheapest and easiest way for people to get thi...

I'll tell you what everyone needs. A lightweight panel that has LEDs . The panel maybe has two sizes, say, .5 meters by .5 meters or 1 meter by 1 meter that has LEDs in rows, say, 3 centimeters apart. There is an "actuator" unit that takes line in stereo that causes sections of the LEDs to a) pulse...

Dell is a good choice if you buy the right specs...

~Fastest processor you can afford
~2gb ram (or more)
~7200rpm hard drive
~Fair to midland graphics card

~and yes... XP.

You can usually get XP through Dell if you call them personally.

I thought Main Stage was for live performances rather than composition (which would be Logic). Is there some particular feature that you're looking for? Basically... Mainstage loads up a simple mixer interface and allows use of virtual instruments. It also allows you to create a semi custom interfa...

Does anybody know of anything like this for Windows? I've been using this as a song writing tool on my mac, but would love to suggest a comparable app for my windows friends.

Or mayby have something for my PC laptop.

Thanks!
