I've got them both, and they are both excellent tools.

Things Maschine is awesome at:

-Sampling
-parameter control of all the NI Komplete products
-Working almost entirely mouse free
-Can audition sounds for a kit prior to loading them.

But Maschine sucks at:

- Can't take MIDI in (IE can't ...

1- Set up Maschine in one channel and load up a kit. Start off with no pattern recorded.

2- Create a new MIDI channel and load Instanthaus. Leave Instantbeat (the drum rack) out of this. Instanthaus has to be on its own MIDI channel, not as a MIDI effect on Maschine.
