Re: VST3 Support!
A new DAW, Lumit, came out. $149 It can use VST3s. Ableton Live still cannot.

1) Ableton Live CPU Meter 11% (drop set into Live) / 22% (open set within Live) *** Here is something really strange with my PC. If I open Live, drop the set in and play it, the CPU hits 11% max. If I open Live, open the set using the browser and play it, the CPU is at 22% . I can repeat this behav...

Faster recovery from a Live crash
Takes 4:45 minutes for the Live.exe to completely disappear from memory. Thankfully not the 8-10 minutes from a version back, but still too long. Definitely a far cry from Windows XP where Live.exe would disappear almost instantly from memory after a crash. Windows 7 Ultimate Pro 64-bit PC Live 9.0....

Wow, 80 tracks. Think I've only got up to 40 or so in Live before it starts choking above 60% CPU for me.

Re: Has Ableton said anything about changing Live 9's Browser?
The regular version has a slow startup because of the browser, but 9.0.5b5 beta seems to have shaved the browser loading time so that Live is ready within a few seconds instead of 10 seconds+.

Re: Tips for rolling off sub-bass?
I recently had the opportunity to hear one of my (unmastered) tunes played in a club - and overall I was reasonably surprised with how good it sounded....except... ...the BASS! God.... the whole room was shaking - and not in a good way. Clearly I had massively underestimated the sub in my tune. If ...

Re: Any serious v9.0.4 release issues out there to report of yet
Live 9.0.4 32-bit crashed when trying to open sets I've saved using 9.0.1 and 9.0.2. I have sent in crash reports. I can still open them in 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 thankfully. The "can't kill the Ableton Live XXX.exe process" from memory also still exists, but at least it doesn't take more than 5 ...

Re: Who uses a subwoofer in their studio?
Well, getting a sub that is made to go with your speakers is the easiest and fastest choice usually. I have M-Audio BX8as, and the Bx10 sub that goes with them. You can get any sub you want; just make sure you can connect and have the correct cabling and power requirements for it. A sub will help yo...

If you don't get an answer here, try heading over Tom Cosm's website and his forums, and ask. He's a Live Genius.

Re: Import Groups
^^^^ +1 Currently, I have to do workarounds for groups by sending the audio from a group into another track and then applying FX onto the new audio track. Then, if I want to import a group of tracks from an old project, I have to import all of those tracks, and then import the extra audio track (if ...

Re: High-resolution support!
What do you mean by scale exactly? I can adjust the Zoom Display in Live by going to Preferences > Look Feel > Zoom Display. It's an awesome feature.

Re: Undo (Ctrl+Z) randomly does not work (Live 9.0.1)
It doesn't happen in completely new Live 9 sets; just in my Live 8 ones that I've opened in Live 9, saved in Live 9, and then started working with them. Must be some kind of conversion issue.
