Re: Propellerheads Record Anyone?
With your set up, unless you're wanting to process tons of plugins in real time, you should not be suffering glitching too much in Live - maybe there are some optimizations you missed (turn off wifi, turn off speedstepping etc). Which audio interface are you using ?? (ultralite ?? or something not ...

Propellerheads Record Anyone?
For the past 3 years i've been putting up with glitches in my audio when recording through Live. I haven't really wanted to dive into some expansive program and have a huge learning curve BUT..... Record beta just dropped so i'm trying it. I want the simplicity of pro tools audio without the B.S har...

Re: another looper bug?
I found Looper to be dodgy right out of the gate! Wasted enough time trying to seamlessly loop some audio to figure out it doesn't work with my mind.

POD XT PRO......into MacBook Pro Via USB or sometimes into Ultralite Via S/PDIF. Depending on the amount of controllers in use at the time.

Re: Live 8 Transient Detection
Thank You! I've been run out of other threads because i brought this up! I guess i'll have to post some pics of other things about the new engine that really "grinds my gears". Pics help out BIG time when bringing something like this to discussion! Needless to say that the new way requires...

Re: MOTU DP vs Live.
Live's Strenght is it's session view. To be honest it isn't all that great at handling very large track counts IMHO. That being said i have completed mixes within Live using 75 + tracks along with 10-15 returns. That was in Live 6...... Now with group tracks and automation lanes things are mu...

And You CLEARLY don't comprehend what I'm saying ! I've been a Live user since ver. 4, I'm Pretty sure i understand the workings of Live. And i'm pretty sure ver. 8 isn't working the same as ver. 7,...... i think everyone understands that. Read BEFORE you moderate. I understand what you are saying....

Re: Oh please bring back the old warping functionality.
[/quote] You clearly have no idea what the functionality of *Set 1.1.1 Here* does. It's not some auto-find-it-for-you function. It gives YOU complete control to put the marker where YOU WANT 1.1.1 TO BE. It's the opposite of auto-warping, or transient detection, or any sort Let The Program Do The Wo...

Re: Oh please bring back the old warping functionality.
TRY using the set 1.1.1 command and see where the damn things lands........thats right.......NOT ON THE 1 Isn't the command called Set 1.1.1 *HERE*? Since that's what it does? You click where you want the one to go. Simple. Simple? That would mean it work's J.O. The fact that the auto transient det...

Re: Oh please bring back the old warping functionality.
Hopefully the programmer responsible for warping #ifdef'd the old code out :-) It was suggested somewhere by someone that the new interface ties in with changes warping engine and that there's no way to give the option beyond reimplementing the old look. ...but they still could just show the friggi...

Re: Oh please bring back the old warping functionality.
If you look at the Live 7 clip below (from the ableton website) you'll see how each of the warp markers that are placed in Live 7 clearly show the bar number and position. When playing songs with breaks in unusual palces (e.g. bar 57) it is useful to be able to easily count how far away you are for...

Re: Live 8: Window focus behaviour needs to be changed!
I really enjoy the new features and enhancements that Live 8 offers, and think the Abletons have done a fantastic job! One thing though is absolutely counterproductive: The new window focus behaviour. As soon as you have clicked anywhere in a plugin's window, you can not control anything in Live's ...
