Re: how can i achieve this.
It depends on the tracks. Many floyd songs REALLY blend into each other. As in 2-3 at a time are record at the same time, right through and taped together and then split later. Others are more "Beatlish" where multiple songs end up forming phrases, but the note doesn't actually continue fr...

Re: Beautiful subs
I make my kicks by using a sample for the mid/high end (usually a multi layered bass/snare/hat) and then find a nice, rumbling sine wave and mess with the phasing to get it just right. This would like inside my drum rack and would look like this c3 - Kick - Instrument Rack Chain 1 -> Sampler Chain 2...

Re: Little tip I'd like to ask
The easiest way to do it causes some small sound artifacts on most on/offs. So let me give you a better way. Find the tutorial for ableton wet/dry rack (will teach you important rack stuff) Make that rack, throw your effect/rack into the wet chain If you have the macro to chain selector set to dry t...

My first remix after a 2 year break! (Electro)
This is my video and remix for Lets Go To War's "Burn Down the Disco", an awesome track in its own right, and now that I beefed the drums and remixed it, even better! I used tracktor scratch pro (4 decks) routed into Ableton Live (for extra sweeps and fx) and did everything live (ie, no se...

Re: break beats
I like to take a drum rack, program my 8 bar loops, then set up a few different patterns in a 2 bar loop. Put those in order and set them to legato. Automate the follow actions to grab 1 beat from one, then random another, then 2 beats on that one, etc. Record some of the variations then chop out wh...

Re: Turning down level automations in session view
Well the utility plugin is a start, but as you said -35db is not -inf. So what you do is build a rack with a utility and a hp filter. Work with the macro mapping so 0-35 is just the utility, and below that you sweep out the sound. Run your channels through a few busses and drop your volume rack on e...

Yep, sends on drum racks are easy to set up.
If you don't want to dig through the SoS article, which is really good for other stuff about racks, look at my post here

Re: Drum Rack SENDS FX
Use sends in the rack itself and your problem is solved
You just have to open up some extra panels you dont see by default.

Yeah, repitch will help. Complex and beat kinda squashes the brightness and warmth. Also you can throw a saturator and limiter on the channel.

Re: Individual Drum Rack Sends?
Nonsense all of you :p I was sitting on my copy of 7 waiting for track grouping, which of course still didn't quite solve my problem. 1 midi track per drum rack so I can sequence my drums nicely, but have audio out returns to duck from the kick, or reverb specific hats and such. After poking around ...
