FWIW, on OS X at least, the port name confusion arises because the ports have different names when you are running via Korg's MIDI driver instead of the OS X built-in USB MIDI driver. Took me ages to figure that out for LC Xmu microKONTROL support...

Agreed - that's what bugs me about touchscreens, there's no tactile change from one control to the next. You can't "feel" your way around the controller.
