Re: how to setup microkontrol as natively supported controller?
I think this is because the midi is coming through the LC Xmu passthrough port which is not configured to be microkontrol specific... What happens if you specify the LC Xmu passthrough port as a microKONTROL under controllers? I don't think Live tries to use Native Korg mode, does it? Does Live jus...

Re: how to setup microkontrol as natively supported controller?
1. I havent been able to get the pads mapping to drum racks when using LC XMU... But you get the faders and device control What happens when you bypass just the pads (modifier + bypass CCs in LC Xmu)? Are the notes that get sent (MPC preset 1) not getting to the drum racks? Is the LC Xmu passthroug...

OK ... so either: A - If Live is putting the MK into native mode, it will change or erase the text on the LCDs, and perhaps light/unlight the pads to indicate if a clip is firing or such? If so, there will be a conflict and you won't be able to use both at once. or B - If Live isn't putting the MK i...

See my signature for both a simple MC screen emulation and a full-blown MC emulator/manager for OS X. Not free however. Or maybe you already knew that.spiral wrote:pc only

Re: control surfaces and Live 6
I know I can use the Bcf in Mackie mode (Cubase) but it's good only for Live's mixer Wrong. See the Live documentation for the Mackie Control. Press track "select" to select the track. Press "devices". Press "page left"/"page right" to step through 8 devices ...

now, HOW MUCH BASS? 11 bass. Here in NZ bass are called hapuka or groper, and live in the sea. In most parts of the world it is considered very dangerous to add bass to controllers because of the water, but I read on a website you can do it in Madagascar because of the lemurs. If you give the lemur...

I'm testing HUI-to-MC emulation with LC Xmu, seems to be working nicely with the HUI, Baby HUI and CM Labs MotorMix. OS X only, mind, and not free. If you're on OS X, and the Faderport does HUI protocol, and you want to check it out using the LC Xmu demo, download the demo and email me for the drop-...

Agreed - that's what bugs me about touchscreens, there's no tactile change from one control to the next. You can't "feel" your way around the controller.sweetjesus wrote:having played with a lemur once or twice, the thing which grabbed me was how easy it is to press te wrong thing and make a fuck-up.

Re: select automapped instrument with controller?
(I'm able to select each channel using mackie controls, but not the instrument) Sure. Select the channel containing the instrument. Press "Device" on the MC. Press the "vselect" (v-pot push 1-8) corresponding to the device slot you want. The device parameters will be on the MC v...
