hey all, i use sampler a lot and would like to start saving my instruments outside of sessions
does anyone know if the sample used in a custom instrument gets imbedded in the preset?
if so does anyone know how this is done?

Not sure if I understand what you're saying. You can already reverse audio and MIDI in arrangement view and edit envelopes of clips in session view in live 8. And what do you mean by gain processing and printing device processing? in arrangement view you can't process audio, as far as gain , revers...

when closing an ableton session
the program should stay open by default
seems like im always shutting down "live"
to open and close sessions.

arrangement view: would be great if we can do more processing in this view like reversing and gain processing. also maybe printing device processing directly to the audio file. session view: glad to see automation, would also be great if we can edit within a clip. i think this would help both views ...

would be cool to figure out a way to get that cpu down so we wouldn't need this, but

more features to edit clips:
chop and move around within the clip
fades and reverses for sections(chops) within the clip.
