Re: Modulated Parameters still buggy.
On my rig, I am able to loop 1 measure of a 2000 measure ramp, resulting in what looks like about a .0006 delta on the trigger.
I don't see problems with retriggering, but I certainly do see some sluggishness in the event cue at that resolution, especially as I take the tempo up.

Re: Feature request: query the clip file offset
Hi,
As for the trick to draw a ramp that indicates the video position (thanks for the suggestion by the way), I see two possible drawbacks:
- the resolution isn't high enough (or is it, with the new live.param~? hm, 32 bits right? should be sample-accurate for a file of 29 hours long at 44100Hz ...

Re: midiOX receives correct message & m4L doesnt' ?!
The channel one issue for MIDI exists in Max for Live because it's a hosted environment. At the moment, if you want to receive MIDI in a Max for Live MIDI effect device on a channel other than 1, the only solution I'm aware of would be to route your MIDI through a Live MIDI track, set that track to ...

Excellent - thanks for sharing this code.
You might want to set up your parameter mappings for automation?? (Or hide them...)
Let the monolake tributes begin.

device that kills Live dead
Hi, here is tonight's test case. This bug is more about the potential difficulty of recovery than it is about the actual configuration of the code.
This device will actually run and report index values. After that, however, it kills Live instantly when it is loaded into an audio track. I recognize ...

Re: fft~ help?
1. Create a new Max device. Save it somewhere. (If you accept the default, it will be saved in your beta Library.)
2. Open this device for patching in Max.
3. Create a new patcher by selecting File/New Patcher or cmd-n.
4. Save this file in the same directory as your Max device. Let's suppose that ...

Re: multi channel
Very few (if anyone) use Live as their primary surround mix tool. I believe that most everyone who works in surround and uses Live, simply uses other software (PT, Logic, Cubase etc) when they want to do their surround mix.
There is surely a desire out there for some form of support for surround ...

Lack of 5.1 is just one of the myriad long-awaited features for Live.

Re: multi channel
The External Audio Effect allows you to specify speakers and you can use any number of these.
How would you do that? As far as I see, I can only create a row of effects, with the returns going back into the same track after the External Effect device. This could work for live input (be choosing ...

Re: sidechaining
Now THAT is a question for the Ableton guys!
I'd love to know the answer as well, but i suspect that it has to do with priority queues and schedulers.
You'll notice that this uses a lot of CPU, yes? More than just adding another audio stream would use. Also, if you put a very simple signal through ...
