Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch
This great "Linnstrument" is using polyphonic aftertouch: http://www.rogerlinndesign.com/linnstrument.html Unauthorized for Ableton users ! Notes from the Linnstrument manual: Ableton Live Ableton Live does not pass received MIDI channel information to a track, so even if you're using a p...

Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch
I just had a phonecall from the Ableton AR & PR Manager Olaf Bohn about this problem and he told me something like this: The Ableton team care about us, they are aware, that there is a problem. The developers start to work on this item next time. To have more flexibility for midi filter and use ...

Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch
An example for hardware using polyphonic aftertouch are the Roland V-Drum cymbals like cy-5. They use PA for to choke the cymbals -stop them with the hand -drummers know what I mean. I've bought the smallest Roland V-drum, the HD-3 for to practice and play more authentic grooves in my Live music. A ...

Re: finally... BITWIG STUDIO! beta 'soon'...
For those who read german language, a friend wrote an article about the Bitwig Beta for LINUX. The author of this article is stricly not an Live user, he regulary use free software like Ardour so he has a different point of view. But he is impressed. http://www.linux-community.de/Internal/Artikel/Pr...

Re: Why is WINDOWS way better than OSX for Music Software?
Sorry, serious. windows is not better for music software.
OSX is IME better for music software. Serious.
Sometimes I think, here are too many people with too much time talking stupid things.

Re: Looper, and how to use it.
I Love the looper, my first tool for guitar and voice recordings. Good for improvisations and layerings, create drones and rhythmic patterns with natural sounds. Better then any hardware looper, because easy to sync! A foot remote controller is recommended at least with 3 switches: Rec, Undo/Redo, C...

Re: The Inspiration Myth
Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. That leads to uninspired muszak. Perfect technical constructions that sounds like some kind of music, but without artistic substance, without soul. Inspiration is necessary for every kind of art. Music without inspiration is boring noise....

Re: Max 4 Live 64 bit compatible - costs?
I have been using the 64bit Live since it was released. Took a couple of weeks too ween off M4L, but I havent really looked back since. I used to think there was minor OR no validity to M4L causing stability issues with Live. After using the 64bit beta, and then trying to go back to the 32bit and r...

Re: APC40+APC20 Combination Mode Issue
By default, the first mentioned controller in the pref list is the one on the left. Not always. Sometimes the APC40 loads after theAPC20, so the layout is interchanged. The only workaround I found "open Pref, remove Remote Controller APC20, add it again and then it works". Sometimes it in...

Hi Ableton Folks; Us Live 8 users are getting very CURIOUS . When will Live 9.0 be released and what new features will be part of the release??? Live 8 was released a couple of years ago and we have seen various upgrades to Version 8 since that time. We suppose that your developers have some surpri...

Re: Amp reivews
how does it sound? screenshots? I started the download last night and am stuck at work. haven't seen or heard it yet. I've just tested the amps with my guitar and in the first moment I was disappointed. But then after some tuning I think - the amps and cabinets are ok for most genres but the hi gai...
