Re: Odd VSTs

Sometimes just one patch on a new piece of gear can inspire an entirely new song that I may have never made had I not heard it. Right... But if your try to learn one gear/soft inside out and use it, the result will be only better, more personal without counting the rewards... Make it yours... :D Wh...

Re: Odd VSTs

Anyhow, I have just about everything installed right now when it comes to the big name vsts like all the Spectrasonics stuff, fm7, vanguard, absynth etc etc. So you have tens of thousands of dollars sunk into namebrand VSTs and you need MORE? My guesses: 1.) You're using cracks. 2.) You're a no tal...

If by resource hog you mean RAM consumption, then most definitely yes! :) Being a Rompler, it loads everything into ram, and it has some VERY large patches which can quickly eat up your ram. At least a gig is recommended, although my next machine will most certainly have 2 - 4 gig (never thought I'd...

I found Enigma so couter-intuitive and anger producing that I just deleted the damn thing off my machine entirely. I just spent a couple minutes in the manual and programmed the thing by hand......much less frustration. On a side note, the editing software the Novation Remote 25 uses is an absolute ...

I'm currently using the Saitek, which is a very nice keyboard. The feel is great, and the blue backlighting is cool. Due to my limited space on my pullout keyboard tray (contour shuttle pro in the way) I have to go out and buy a Belkin RJ45 extension adapter as well as another ethernet cable (RJ45 i...

So much justification for stealing someone else's hard work. I personally don't give a shit if you're poor or whatever your sob story is, you have no right to steal a company's intellectual property, no exceptions. I just wonder what all you financially challenged musicians would have done ba...

Seriously? Aftertouch turns each piano key into a continuous controller of sorts? Wow. did not know that (because I've never had it). Well, slight clarification. The Remote 25 has monophonic aftertouch as opposed to polyphonic aftertouch. So think of the entire keybed as transmitting an additional ...

I was actually in your exact shoes a few weeks ago. I was looking for a 25 key controller/keyboard to complement my 88 key Keystation. I ended up going with the Novation for several reasons. Firstly, the Remote 25 is sale priced on a few popular music product sites, so although it's still more expen...
