Re: Change Orchestral Trills from Half Step to Whole Step etc
Thanks @jwing. Damn, I was hoping to avoid trying that kind of thing. Thanks for the response though, it's useful just to confirm my deepest darkest fears about Ableton Orchestral trills so I can find a solution elsewhere .

Change Orchestral Trills from Half Step to Whole Step etc
I realise this probably has a very simple solution either way, but in the orchestral packs most instruments have a 'Half Step Trill' as a sampler option.
Is it possible to change this to a whole step trill?

Re: McMillen SoftStep Midi Foot Controller is Finally Available!
Hey Sinceare, I'm curious how you went about learning how to program your FCB 1010? I bought one used and the instructions I found for it seem ridiculously complicated. Or am I just making it out to be that way? -Mike I had the weirdest experience with the FCB1010. Totally felt like giving up with ...

Re: Help!! with Remote SL 25 Mk 1 PLEASE!
You can set the pads to send cc's instead of notes, might be a better option if you're using them as controls. As far as reversing the knob action, I guess you mean when using template 40 (live template). AFAIK you would have to reverse the min/max values on the remote sl itself. Yup yup, we're def...

Help!! with Remote SL 25 Mk 1 PLEASE!
Hiya I got a Novation Remote SL 25 a while back and still haven't mastered the bugger, but have found it very straight forward so far for what I've been using it for. However there are 2 things I wish to do now which I can't work out from the manuals. 1. I want to use the keyboard to play melodies, ...
System Profiler should list the model no. of your HD. Copy/paste that into google along with "+ rpm" and you should get an answer immediately.
Thanks to you, I now know I am the proud owner of a G4 12" Powerbook with a 5400 rpm HD speed.
Ta mate!

Re: Clicks / glitches on scene launching. Grrrr...
Render appropriate clips or samples into mono and/or 16bit for live performance. (mono will halve the disk access, and using 16bit uses two thirds the CPU of 24bit, for that clip) This is a great suggestion I hadn't thought of. Also, what speed is your HD? It may be 5400 or god forbid 4200, which m...

Clicks / glitches on scene launching. Grrrr...
I'm getting glitches and clicks on scene launching :( I'm running a live set with 5 groups each with 3 tracks. 2 return tracks with two separate fx racks. It's worse when when I arm a track to play a live instrument over the set. The CPU shows only 40-50% usage when the glitches start. Is it just th...

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?
Does anyone know how I change my settings to get email alerts when forum posts are made?
I thought I'd sorted it out - I ticked YES to get Notified of replies to postings - but I still don't get alerts when people post.

Re: Any ableton Live users in London?
Thanks Silveriofunk. I have emailed Eliot to see if this was informal which he said it was but what I forgot too ask was how the evening would be structured? Apologies if this is already discussed here in the thread. Basically the evening is structured through Dave who organizes the night. He choos...
