I guess I'll answer my own question, as I've been doing some successful experiments. Yes it is possible, but you have to send the exact same stereo signal to both destinations and filter the result there by selecting the left or right channel with Utility.

Easy with M4L. You're restricted by the inner wiring of the devices themselves without using Live's mixer. But if there is a trick to doing feedback loops within and audio fx rack I'd be very interested to know it as well.

Is there a way to send the left channel of an audio track to one audio/return track and the other channel to another one? Additionally if I do the opposite and start playing the loop with the fade range all the way at 0% and drag it to the left, the sound is very quiet until I release the key and hit it again.

I'm experiencing something odd with the sample select ruler in Sampler and wondering if this is a bug or I'm missing something... I've got a single loop playing on one key with a fade range enabled. Is there a way to prevent Ableton from renaming my files after track freeze? I'm trying to use Live as an editor but it's a pain when it keeps renaming all my files.

Yummy!

I simply saved my work (not self contained) and when I returned to it later on all of my frozen tracks were gone leaving just the als files...so chalk up yet another occurance!
