I want to buy an APC in the next moth tho I need to upgrade to 8.
Currently I use the Live 7 Suite. My question is:
Do I need to buy the Live 8 Suite or is it enough to buy the regular version and keep the Instruments from 7 Suite working?

Re: Midi maping for one note on multiple parameters?
you can't assign the same note to 2 clips on the same track since you cant play 2 clips on the same track
if you want to play 2 clips with one button press just put them on separate tracks
yes you´re right. I saw the new assignment overriding the old one on clips in the same track and assumed ...

Re: usb or firewire for external soundcard
I would suggest Edirol FA-101. Its firewire and I use it without problems on my notebook and desktop.
The good thing with firewire is: all usb-ports on your notebook are free for controller, mouse...
A lot of notebooks just come with two or tree usb-ports. Controller and soundcards often don´t work ...

You can define the range when you assign midi notes.
If you don´t use midi controllers you can insert a utility effect in every channel and set gain to -6db.
Than save the scene as template.

Midi maping for one note on multiple parameters?
For example: When I assign a midi note to a slot (in session view) and assign the same note to a different slot later - it overrides the initial assignment and the note is now assigned to the second slot.
Is it possible to assign one Midi note to multiple slots (not a scene) ?
Or assign one Midi ...

Re: New To this forum. Need tempo helpplease help!!!!
Did you change the tempo range to your needs? For example if you have two tracks: one 130bpm and one 145 bpm you can set the range to min 130 and max 145 and its easier to paint the automation.

How to create slim instruments for use on stage?
I realised that I use lots of samples in my sets. Up to 500MB is used for Samples.
So it takes some time to load these sets. (about 10-15 seconds for heavy sets)
For our liveact I want to reduce this time and saved each set in a new project to get rid of unused Samples which is a great feature btw ...
